Which hotel do I stay in?
Stay just steps from the finish line! We have partnered with San Diego Mission Bay Resort (formerly Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa) - special discounted rate is sold out but you may still be able to get a room!
Do you have discounted group rates?
Yes we do, registration fees just have to be paid in full up front!

Can I bring my stroller?
Yes the course is paved and stroller friendly. You do not need to register the stroller unless you would like a medal and a bib for your little one.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately, no :( We ourselves would LOVE to be able to bring our own little furry running companions - however our venue's rules prevent us from allowing pets.
What if I have a service animal?
If you bring your service animal, we just ask that it wears an identifiable vest or collar, although not required.
Do I have to go to bib pick-up prior to the race?
Although we highly recommend going to bib pick-up in order to make your race morning easier, it is not required. Bib pick-up will also be available on race morning starting at 6:00am.
Does everyone get a finisher medal?
YES! All registered participants with a bib get a finisher's medal!
Can I buy the sweet Resolution Run gear on race weekend?
YES but we recommend you pre-purchase during the registration process to ensure your size and style!
PLEASE NOTE: NO REFUNDS. ALL DISTANCE CHANGES, DEFERRALS, AND TRANSFERS NEED TO BE MADE ONLINE BY WEDNESDAY, JAN 8 (email ) AFTER THAT, THEY MUST BE HANDLED ONSITE AT BIB PICK-UP OR RACE DAY. GO TO THE "SOLUTIONS" TABLE AT REGISTRATION. THEY INCUR A $10 PROCESSING FEE.
What is the "Non-Committal Plan"?
Select this option during registration and you can cancel your registration, transfer to another person, defer to the next year, or switch distances until Dec 27 without getting charged a fee. *Less the processing fees. If you are transferring to a longer distance you will be charged the difference.
Can I transfer to another runner?
YES transfers are allowed for a $10 fee. If you have the "Non-Committal Plan" you will not be charged the $10 fee.
Can I switch my race distance?
YES you can for a $10 fee. If you have the "Non-Committal Plan" you will not be charged the $10 fee. If you are transferring to a longer distance you will be charged the difference. If you are transferring to a shorter distance there is no refund. Please submit all transfer requests to .
I can no longer run, can I get a refund?
>>> YES until Dec 27 if you purchased the "Non-Committal Plan" during the registration process. Select this option during registration and you can cancel your registration for any reason. Getting your refund is easy, email us at with your name and your race entry will be refunded less the processing fee.
>>> NO if you did NOT purchase the "Non-Committal Plan" during the registration process or if it's after Dec 27. However, you can transfer to another runner or defer to next year. You can submit your request to firstname.lastname@example.org, there is a $10 fee.
Can I park on-site or get dropped off at the race start?
There is parking all along Mission Bay Drive - SEE MAP HERE. Parking will be limited so we recommend carpooling or getting dropped off. There is a drop-off area in the parking lot just south of the Hilton Hotel right before the road is closed. See road closure map HERE and directions to drop-off zone HERE.
Will there be gear check?
Yes, there will be gear check. Just fasten the tear-off tab at the bottom of your bib to your bag and hand it to bag check crew. The crew will only give you your bag back if you have the matching bib. Please provide your own bag and we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

The courses are all paved, fast and flat.
How much water and fuel is on the course? - SEE COURSE SUPPORT MAP HERE
There will be a course support station every 1.5-2 miles. If you like to drink more water and electrolytes than that we recommend carrying a fuel belt or a water bottle so you can fill up at the water stations. In addition to water, Honey Stinger energy fuel/gel and Ultima Replenisher electrolyte drink will be at select course support stations on the course.

YES there will be porta-potties and several sets of park bathrooms along the course.
What are the age categories for winners?
0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
What the heck is a FREE "Runner Recovery Zone"?
We have partnered with local massage therapists, chiropractors, stretch therapists, recovery equipment companies, and more to treat those sore muscles for FREE! Even though it's a "Recovery" zone, you can get treatments before you run too! Look for them in the finisher's village!
Do I have to register my child for the kids 100M dash?
No, you do not have to register your child for the 100 meter dash, our MC will make the announcement when it is going to start (usually around 9:30am) and you can bring your little one on over!
Is there a time limit?
No, we may be breaking down the event but you are more than welcome to take as long as you'd like!
Do I get a shirt?
A tech tee is included with half marathon entry. We utilize green practices as often as possible so in an effort to keep t-shirts out of landfills, you have the option to get a t-shirt with your 5K or 10K entry if you want! And if you don't want a shirt, you pay less! If so, choose the "+ Shirt" category when registering.
Will there be coffee?
Our friends at Road Trip Coffee Truck will be there to fulfill all of your coffee and espresso needs!
What if it rains?
The Resolution Run will take place rain or shine. However, if conditions are determined by city officials to be unsafe, the race will be rescheduled. No refunds will be made.
